I’m a mother, #1. I have 3 beautiful children, twin girls, Paige and Nicole who will be 8 this year, and my sweet little boy, Ryan, who is 6. They keep me on my toes and keep me very busy with their sweet little lives! But I wouldn’t have it any other way. My fitness journey is probably like a lot of others’, up and down, up and down. I had never had an issue with my weight growing up, or even after the twins were born. That post baby weight just “melted right off.” Lucky, I guess. It wasn’t until after I had Ryan that I struggled. The weight wasn’t melting off like it had with the twins. And I was pissed!! For several years after I would try different things. I tried a fitness APP; so I would go into my basement and follow the instructions. This yielded very poor results. It wasn’t fun, it didn’t teach me about proper nutrition to see optimum results, and after 2 weeks I fell off the wagon…again…and again….and again. It wasn’t until late in 2014 when I started seeing posts on Facebook pop up in my news feed about joining an accountability group to reach your health and fitness goals. So I started following her (a lady from the same home town who I went to school with) health and fitness page out of curiosity. Her results were AMAZING! I was shocked. Finally, in February 2015 I contacted her with my questions and joined her group. She introduced me to the WONDERFUL world of Beachbody. And it’s been from that moment on that I’ve changed my life and I started to SPARKLE for the first time in my life.
- I had ENERGY
- I started to see the body I wanted back and then some
- I fit into clothes I thought I’d have to give away
- I felt AMAZING….and this is a true understatement
- I felt sexy
- I had a zest and love for life every single day
- And I felt like I was Sparkling!
I still feel all these things. I made the commitment after 3 rounds of 21 Day Fix and seeing my body change into one that I loved being in that I wanted this for life. Who wouldn’t want to feel all these things and love the skin they’re in…..for life? Do I fall off course? YES! We wouldn’t be human if we didn’t. But I get back up and keep going. Do I eat the odd chocolate bar? YES! Do I over eat on my carbs sometimes? YES! But the key is getting back up. Everything in moderation, right?!
